It contains no strange substances, just pigments and linseed oil. You can dilute it yourself with linseed oil or gum turpentine that is produced from pine resin. Apart from the environmental and work related aspects, linseed oil paint has yet one positive characteristic; it builds and cures the underlying material. Linseed oil, that has a lower surface tension than water, penetrates most materials and is joined with it. Linseed oil paint breaths and is moisture-permeable but at the same time waterproof, like GoreTex. Water soluble acrylic paints do not penetrate the surface; they form a thick and dense film on top of the material. The film traps moisture in wood, leading to problems with rot and flaking. On plaster, the moisture makes the material erode. Moisture wanders and expands. If the moisture is trapped, the pressure will break the weakest material; the coat of paint or the plaster. 3: Our linseed oil paint should not be mistaken for “oil paint” What is commonly called oil paint is usually a paint made of modified oil. Sometimes this is marketed under misleading labels, marked linseed oil, even if only a fraction of the contents is linseed oil. The color of such paint is produced using a color essence, a concentrate. We use natural pigments. Each pigment has unique properties, something we can use when we produce paint. It is the innate qualities of the pigment that affect the properties of the paint and its most suitable use. The pigments play a very important role in our paints. 4: Have you ever tried painting with linseed oil? Are you hesitant? Some techniques are new, but most of the handling is just the same. It is all about creating a new habit. The total amount of time from start to finish is about the same. When it comes to the actual painting, there are a few distinct differences. When painting untreated wooden surfaces, you don’t need to treat the wood with any “special products” like grounding oil or other base coatings. Painting with our product is enough; our linseed oil paint. When applying the paint, you should paint like a miser; in thin and even layers. You usually paint three coats with our linseed oil paint. The major gain is the satisfied customer who will return to you when it is time for repainting or new projects. The work preparation before painting with linseed oil is minimal, indoors as well as outdoors. The paint coats are thin and usually do not need to be stripped or burned off. Our linseed oil paint does not emit any cancerous fumes when heated or on fire. Linseed oil paint on façades is “self-cleaning” and only need a light scraping when it is time for repainting. 5: Our linseed oil paints give you greater margins. Honestly, is linseed oil paint more expensive than plastic paints? Calculated per liter, the cost is about the same for our linseed oil paint and water-soluble paint from one of the leading manufacturers. Calculated by the number of square meters you can paint with one liter of paint, linseed oil paint is always less expensive than painting with acrylate/alkyd paint.

Example: You will need 2.5 liter alkyd paint for three coats on 10 windows. You will need 1 liter linseed oil paint for three coats on 10 windows.

The largest advantage of all is probably the easy maintenance of a surface painted with linseed oil paint. The maintenance cost is half of that of a surface painted with plastic paint. We know that this will make your customers satisfied and they will surely contract you again.
